Implementation story
We first made contact with FotoŠkoda in 2001, when the owners began looking for a new POS and warehouse system for their expanding store. In 2002, when the company moved to the newly renovated Langhans Palace in Vodičkova Street, the implementation of the first WinShop solution began.
WinShop Std.
POS system WinShop Std. was implemented on 30 computers in the local network. All business and warehouse processes were implemented in it. Sales were mainly made at 15 cash registers installed on 3 floors of the FotoŠkoda shopping centre and for wholesale customers in the form of invoicing. A special module for the company was developed for second-hand purchase and sales. POS system WinShop Std. has been supplemented with many modules that FotoŠkoda required for its business needs and made its work easier, including, for example, an automatic module for communication with suppliers or with GFK company.
WinShop SQL
The development of the company, the increasing number of transactions, the expansion of the online shop and the need for electronic communication with other systems were the main impetus for negotiations on the possibility of implementing a new version of our system WinShop SQL at FotoŠkoda. The new central, warehouse and POS system had to be able to secure the increasing number of business transactions in the long term, to offer a sophisticated customer system shared with all e-shops of the company and of course to share in real time with all e-shops both the available stock and the optimal order fulfillment. The entire implementation process, which included data migration from the old solution, new native connection to the current online stores, integration of the second-hand solution, integration of the package checkouts and a number of other functionalities, started in 2011 and was completed 3 months after the contracts were signed. The current solution, which is operated at FotoŠkoda, includes 20 cash registers, 30 PCs, 15 package checkouts, management of the second-hand department and connection to e-shops of PragueBest company. A number of individual adjustments are added to the implemented applications in cooperation with FotoŠkoda, which enable the company's employees to continuously modernize their business processes and make their work easier.
